Raised in Beeton Ontario, Madison Burgess started dancing at the young age of 3. During her teenage years, Madison started her pre-professional training through Braford Simcoe Dance Academy in many styles including ballet, jazz, acro, contemporary and modern; it was here she developed a passion for dance. She started teaching in her early high school years, and found so much joy in working with students who share a similar passion for dance! Madison continued training at York University where she is now holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with honours in Dance, specializing in Performance and Choreography. Since her graduation in 2016, Madison has performed works by renowned choreographers including Carol Anderson, Susan Lee, Allison McCaughey, Kiera Shaw, Jasmyn Fyffe, Suzanne Liska, Victoria Gubiani and Bianca Trulli. Most recently she performed in Emily Rapley’s first full length show Nocturnal Space which premiered at the 2018 Toronto Fringe Festival. This Fall Madison will be performing in two fundraiser performances, Staged and Let the Elephants Dance. She will also be continuing to inspire dancers and share her passion for dance through out the GTA.
